The Wireless High Power and High Gain Bridge/ Client Router/ Access Point / Repeater operates seamlessly in the 2.4 GHz frequency spectrum supporting the 802.11b (2.4GHz, 11Mbps) and the newer, faster 802.11g (2.4GHz, 54Mbps) wireless standards. It's the best way to add wireless capability to your existing wired network, or to add bandwidth to your wireless installation.
To protect your wireless connectivity, it can encrypt all wireless transmissions through 64/128-bit WEP data encryption and also supports WPA/WPA2. The MAC address filter lets you select exactly which stations should have access to your network. User isolation function can protect the private network between client users.
Point to Point or Point to Multi-Point
Using the EnGenius 3220 series you can create a wireless link between two buildings or multiple buildings. Below describes a building to building connection. To add more than two buildings you will need to add more client bridge units. Settings will be dependent on your network infrastructure. Please read the full document to have complete understanding of the setup.
1st UNIT: ECB-3220 or EOC-3220/EXT/PLUS ----------------------------------------------------- 1. Change mode to --Access Mode--, under menus --Management-- then --Operation mode--. 2. Set static --IP address--, --Subnet Mask--, --Gateway--, under menus --TCP/IP Settings-- then --LAN Interface--. 3. Set --SSID-- desired --Channel-- under menus --Wireless-- then --Basic--. SSID is determined by the admin. EnGenius recommends using channels 1, 6 or 11. 4. Set desired output power for --OFDM-- & --CCK-- under menus --Wireless-- then --Advanced--.
